Im not sure exactly what it was gonna look like, but the animal characters were orginally gonna have fur.. Think Crash N.Sane, Ratchet games post ps3, or the Sonic Movie!
They wanted to go for a more realistic, yet cartoony aproach! and claimed it was something that wasnt done before!
I cant find any pictures of how this would look, but here is a picture of the Ratchet remake to get a mild idea of how the effect could possibly look if it was ever implimented!
